On Thursday we had a really good Zone Conference. President Checketts started off by talking about Living on the Lord's Side of the Line (President George A. Smith). He drew a diagram that described the line not being straight, but being a circle and how the standards for members and missionaries draw closer to the inner circle which he labeled as "Eternal Salvation". It really helped to explain the importance of being obedient to mission rules. The rest of the conference we got to role play different teaching opportunities which really helped to improve our teaching skills. We look forward to continually applying those things in our work.
Saturday we followed up with a family we met out tracting a few weeks ago. Last week, the mom told us to come in, but her husband wasn't home so we went back this week. We taught them the Restoration and the wife was the most interested. She mentioned really admiring people with strong faith and you could tell she wanted that in her life as well. We're excited to go back this weekend to continue teaching them.
I really enjoyed the Sabbath yesterday. There were some good talks, good lessons, and you could definitely feel the Spirit. Another good week up ahead!
Love you heaps,
Elder Muh
Ponderize
- Hebrews 2:18
"For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted."
In the simple words of Elder Holland: he walked the lonely path by himself, so that we didn't have to make that same journey. Oh how sweet the joy this sentence gives, I know that my Redeemer lives. #Hallelujah (FollowHim.mormon.org)
We bought a coconut last week, just for fun. Tried eating it like they do in Survivor, but it didn't taste as good as it looks on the show. We might have been missing an ingredient :)
